Welcome to the Barefoot Jones Website!

Barefoot Jones started as the product of the collaboration of two singer-songwriters and three excellent backing players.  Serving up a tasty stew of acoustic Americana folk/rock with flavors of blues, funk, country and pop, Barefoot brings a joyful, high-energy performance geared towards the musical needs of the people.  With dazzling originals and luscious covers from John Prine to the Grateful Dead, you will want to kick off your shoes and dance barefoot.

May 2005

Dear Friends,

It's been a wild couple of years!  Now, a couple of hours before my penultimate show with Barefoot, I'm thinking back.  I've been able to watch a band grow from two singer-songwriters wanting to make good, uncomplicated music, to a hard-working group doing originals and covers, and getting better every day.  We've lost some people (mainly drummers!), and gained some people (welcome, Maggie!), changed a little, and played a lot.  Now it's time for me to go to South Carolina, and I will miss the music the most.

But the music goes on.  I'm looking forward to coming back to St. Louis to see what these guys (and lady) are up to in the future.  I'll be looking for you in South Carolina!

Love,
